ROD HELM has been representing his clients’ interests in the purchase and sale of real estate since 1991.
With a thorough understanding of the complexity of the marketplace and of the real estate transaction, Rod
has successfully guided hundreds of satisfied clients through what is typically the most important financial
investment of their lives. Rod believes in the importance of the emotional investment that homes have for
people. He strives to ensure that his clients stay true to themselves and to their needs. Rod also believes
strongly that the “right house” can bring a lot of happiness and works hard to find that connection for his
clients.
Over the years Rod has established a team of talented people to address the needs of his clients, ranging
from lending and inspection, to getting a room painted yesterday. Working with the team approach, Rod is
able to resolve most situations quickly and successfully, keeping his client’s transaction on track.
Rod brings to the real estate business a broad skill set. Prior to real estate, Rod was a design engineer with
Honeywell and has a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Rod also owns and manages investment real estate
and is a co-owner in Bridge Street Homes, Inc., a boutique in-fill development company specializing
classically styled luxury home construction.
Rod believes in service to his industry. Currently, he serves as the Immediate Past President of the Minnesota Association of Realtors
(MNAR), a 17,000 member trade association. Other industry leadership roles include: Director (2014), Board of Directors, National
Association of Realtors (NAR), Current Member, NAR’s Professional Standards Committee; Current Member, NAR’s Finance and Housing
Committee; Current member NAR’s RPAC Major Investor Committee; Current Chair, MNAR Strategic Thinking Committee; Past Director,
Board of Directors for the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR); Current Director, Board of Directors MNAR, Past Treasurer,
MNAR and previous President (2014) and President-Elect (MNAR) He also has served a number of terms on the MAAR’s legislative
impact committee and has been the past Chairperson of the MNAR’s Professional Standards committee, which is a 200 person
committee that has ethics oversight and arbitration responsibilities for the state of Minnesota.
Rod holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation, the Graduate of Real Institute (GRI) Designation, and the CB Burnet
President’s Circle Designation. Rod has been selected as a Super Agent for 12 Consecutive Years (’03 – ’14) by Mpls/St.Paul Magazine.
